May 8th: The Reunion has
come to an end. Some left for home yesterday and this
morning the rest of us will say good by to Williamsburg. To
start out, the first thing I have to say is. WOW! It
was one of the best, if not the best. The banquet was a
blast. Great food, the DJ had everyone jumping around until
the end. (They said I did the Worm on the floor and there
are pics to proof it) If this is true I will post them.
Yesterday we had
the 2nd annual USS POWER Golf tournament, 18 holes. Guest,
Jay Walker won. Shipmate, Mike Farrens won the membership
division. I will be posting some photos soon.
John Pinto
led a small group on a wine tour at a local vineyard and
they said it was a good time.

There are
some mini camera film of the 2 bell ceremony and Kay Pinto
receiving a plaque for outstanding service for the reunions
the past 12 years. I haven't had a chance to look at
them yet, but hope to have them up on U-Tube next week.
The tour of
the Navy Base at Norfolk brought back some good memories.
There were some modern ships in port, but we were all
disappointed that all the Super Carriers were all on
deployment.
Today Evie
and I are headed for 3 days in the DC area, and then to Ct.
I want to
give a big salute of thanks to reunion chairman John Pinto
for another outstanding time.
There is a
lot to write about the reunion and photos to post. I should
have time once we settle down. It was a whirle-wind time
there.
