| Friend Pond never gave up. This was his 3rd try for the elusive Silver King. Last night aboard the charter boat "Zig Zag" captioned by Capt. Conner Dawson we fished just North of the Key West Harbor going in to low slack, he had a fish grab the live pin (bait) fish that was the bait on a #4 circle hook with 20lb test, and started his run. Fu did a nice job of not rushing anything and stayed calm and in control of the battle. A few times he had to "Bow To The Silver King." After about 15 minutes he tired the beauty enough so the skipper could land the fish. Their estimate was, the Tarpon weighed between 60 & 65 lbs. | ||
