below was after inspection at sea. Dale Matheney, in the back, was our lead Sonarman SO1 and was from Boston. "Pappy" Crushaw, on the left, was a
torpedo-man and had served in WWII, so we looked up to him. Marshall is on the right with the glasses and was in the Sonar gang. The others I can't remember who was

During my time on the Power I
took about 350 pictures, but most were of the places we went and the tours I
took, such as the one to Rome which was a four day trip. I have downloaded
all that I have of the ship itself, crew members or pictures of things the ship
did (such as refueling and plane guard) onto a disc and am sending it to
Richard Olson for use at the reunion. There are about 60 in all.
