Hello, My father served on the USS Power in 1947 and 1948 to the best of my knowledge. His name was Richard Powers Reed and I believe his rank was Seaman 1st Class. Dick died in February 2001. I found a box load of photos from his couple years on the ship. Attached are just a few if anybody is interested. Too bad he died before discovering this web page as he certainly would have enjoyed it.
